- A client asks for spent-media or broth amino acids during process development, and your own method is booked or not set up.
- A tech transfer or media change needs a baseline of the free amino acids in basal media, feeds or hydrolysates.
- You are comparing media or hydrolysate lots from different suppliers.
- A development campaign produces more time points than your in-house queue can take that week.
What you get
The standard profile (AA-1): 19 amino acids and ammonia by AQC derivatization and HPLC, in µM and mg/L, with the chromatogram, an internal standard in every sample and a QC standard in every run. Raw data comes as CSV on request. Clarification and deproteinization of liquid samples are included, and the first time we see a new medium we run a spike-recovery check (PREP-2, waived at 20 or more samples).
Reports you can pass on
Reports carry your project code and sample IDs. We don't need to know who your client is, and client information, sample descriptions and results are shared only with you.
Priced for campaigns
Per-sample prices fall to $99 at 10 samples and $79 at 50 per order. A whole bioreactor run of up to 24 time points is one package (RUN-1, $1,990). Regular monitoring runs on a monthly standing order (PLAN-1, $85 per sample at 30 or more a month) with space reserved in each weekly batch. See the full price list.
Turnaround
Results within 5 business days of receipt. We run one analysis batch a week and do not take rush orders, so plan sample shipments around your reporting dates.
Methods for your clients' analytes
When a client needs something other than an amino acid profile, we develop and document an HPLC method on an Agilent 1100 with diode-array detection, then run the samples or transfer the method to your lab. The feasibility call is free. See method development.
Scope. Our work supports research, development and process monitoring. The lab is not a GLP, GMP or ISO/IEC 17025 accredited facility, so results are not for batch release or regulatory submission. We measure free amino acids only; we don't run acid hydrolysis for total amino acids, protein content or peptide content.
